Chakras Workshop – The History, Mystery and Mastery

This workshop will include a deep review of the sacred texts and teachings, explaining where the chakras originated from. We will also examine the modern-day interpretation and influence of the chakras on spiritual life. Additionally, we will practice spiritual techniques to cultivate an optimal environment for the chakras and explore how to employ the techniques in daily life.

Restorative Yoga – Teaching the Art of Rest

Restorative yoga is a slow and mindful practice, which usually involves the use of props such as bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps and walls, to aid the student in holding a pose for an extended period of time. Using props allows the student to feel “supported” and “safe”, and therefore, the unconscious and habitual muscle tension has a chance to be dissolved and released. This practice leads the yogi towards a more healing and recuperative experience, achieving a deep level of relaxation in body, breath and mind.

Heavily Meditated 40-Day Challenge

Heavily Meditated consists of 40 daily meditations beginning at 5.30am each day for forty days. We will gather together to sit, to steady the mind and to release the Soul. It will include a range of meditation techniques from the ancient spiritual traditions. It will also include different forms and styles of meditation techniques that will aid the practitioner in understanding their optimal techniques for their awakening.

This class is 90 minutes of gentle and nourishing restorative yoga designed to encourage physical, mental and emotional release and relaxation.

Yogic Bandhas

One of the aims of Hatha Yoga is to expand, direct & contain the prana within. This is done through a variety of techniques, particularly, the Bandhas.

This workshop will provide simple, effective, practical and powerful ways to learn the 3 main bandhas: Jalandhara Bandha (chin lock), Uddiyana Bandha (abdominal lock) and Moolabandha (root lock). You will learn how to do each bandha separately, how to link them with the breath, how they are used in asana and how to do all three locks simultaneously (Maha Bandha & Maha Mudra).

Teaching Chair Yoga

Using props in a yoga class can be beneficial for all students. Chairs are particularly useful for those with injuries and for the more mature student with limited range of movement. However, chairs can be extremely useful for able bodied students also and can help anyone to deepen their experience of asana.
This workshop would be useful for yoga teachers, students, health care professionals and carers who want to share the power of movement and breathing with students and clients.

Healthy Shoulders

This workshop is for students with shoulder issues to help you understand the anatomy of the shoulders, to learn about common shoulder issues, to practice yoga therapy techniques to relieve pain and instability in the shoulders and to explore alternative poses and ways to practice when you are attending a yoga class.

Move and Soothe – Yoga and Live Music

The morning will consist of gentle yoga, movement, restorative postures, breathing practices, meditation and chanting with Ginny Clarke, all encompassed with live guitar with Richard Turner.

Introduction to Yoga Therapy

This course is specifically for yoga teachers where Ginny will share the basics of Yoga Therapy, so that when a student comes to class with a particular issue, you are well equipped to handle it in class.
